“I look forward to my special Warner Weekend Recitals with great anticipation. I know the warmth of the welcome that I will receive from the Warner staff will be only surpassed by that of the audience; I often find their appreciation and generosity overwhelming.
It's unusual to have the opportunity to get to know an audience as well as I do over the 2 days during which my Warner Weekends take place. I always find the people who come to listen to my singing to be extremely attentive and eager to be moved to laughter or tears by the power of the music. Perhaps it's because they are especially relaxed after having enjoyed a good dinner!
However I especially look forward to the following Sunday morning when, after breakfast, we really get to know one another. This opportunity for an intimate exchange of questions and answers is unique to the Warners Weekend experience. Most of all I enjoy these stimulating heart-to-hearts because not only do we learn so much from each other but we laugh hysterically in the process. There is a wonderful feeling of shared history and I'm always left humbled and grateful. I hope you will come and share this special experience with me.” Lesley Garrett CBE
