Spring 2010
Warner Leisure Hotels, which owns the Wildlife Park alongside its hotel at Cricket St Thomas, will be making a substantial investment to develop the gardens and lakes. The Park, set within an area of outstanding natural beauty with a series of picturesque lakes and a unique lemur wood, will temporarily close from 30th September 2009 to allow for development before re-opening to the public in Spring of 2010.
However, the Lakes and Gardens will be open to Hotel Guests throughout this period.
Award Winning Gardeners
During this period of development, a number of the Park’s larger animals will be re-homed in suitable welcoming locations and the landscape will be transformed into beautiful and impressive gardens, including garden ‘rooms’ designed by award-winning gardeners.
New Attraction
Ian Gyte, General Manager of Cricket St Thomas hotel says “This is a very exciting opportunity to evolve the Park and create a new attraction for families, local residents and the thousands of visitors we welcome throughout the year. The new Cricket St Thomas Lakes & Gardens Park will be stunning and the development will create something truly unique in the area.”
