Day trip to Adelburgh & Southwold | Selected dates in Summer

Aldeburgh is a world-renowned seaside town on The Suffolk Coast, home to the best fish and chip shop in the country and the greatest classical music festival this side of Vienna. century villas line Aldeburgh’s traditional seaside promenade while to the east, on the pebbly beach, local fishermen sell the morning’s catch to a stream of passers-by.

You will also find the timeless landscape, sea and big skies that inspired so much of Benjamin Britten’s extraordinary work and continues to inspire artists today and it is here which he founded the iconic Snape Maltings Concert Hall.

Day trip to Sheringham & Holt railway | Selected dates in Summer

Originally a small North Norfolk fishing village, the arrival of the railways in 1887 turned Sheringham into a popular destination for visitors from far and wide. Over the years it has expanded into a thriving town with many diverse shops, places to eat and places to visit. The sandy beach at Sheringham holds the European Blue Flag award for cleanliness which it has held for many years. 

We travel from Sheringham to Holt on the North Norfolk Railway (The Poppy Line). Holt is a lovely rural Georgian North Norfolk town with plenty of unusual shops and surrounded by well-wooded parks.
