The Centre has been created in a Victorian Coach House and Stables and is now one of the largest and most innovative Art and Craft Centres in the country. There are 16 individual studios where artists and craftworkers hand make or hand finish a myriad of reasonably priced products. Don't miss The Major Oak which is said to have housed Robin Hood and is one of the most famous trees in England!

Historic site, home to Nottinghamshire's only working Watermill. Includes exhibition area telling the story of the Ollerton Mill from domesday to the present and a delightful tea room overlooking the River Maun. Winner of the Best Nottinghamshire Afternoon Tea award.

A semi-detached house built at the turn of the century, belonging to William Straw and his brother, Walter. The interior has been preserved since the death of their parents in the 1930s with a museum room displaying 1920s wallpaper,furnishings, local furniture and a suburban garden.

Hardwick Hall is one of Englands great show homes, and it stands as a memorial to the power - and ego - of its remarkable founder. A former landscape garden designed by James Paine in the 18thC. Contains the remains of several follies and the serpentine lake.

Over 3800 acres of parkland with a double lime tree avenue, a fine Gothic revival chapel built 1886-89 for the 7th Duke of Newcastle. The house was demolished in 1938. There is a superb 80-acre lake, a stable block with restaurant, shop and information point, a classical bridge, temples, lawned Lincoln terrace and pleasure grounds.
