Nidd Hall Grounds
Nidd Hall lies within 45 acres of gardens which are surrounded by rich and varied parkland. The gardens are Victorian and Edwardian and have formal stepped terraces. A network of informal paths and plantings link various outdoor facilities such as the tennis courts, the lake and the wilderness.
Harrogate
Harrogate is famed as a spa town and even now you can experience the grandeur of the entury old Turkish Sauna Suit, a visual feast of tiled Victoriana. Or try the Royal Pump Room Museum to enjoy the full history of this lovely place.
Fountains Abby
Built in 1132 and Dissolved in 1539 by Henry VIII, Fountains Abbey is the finest remaining example of a Cistercian abbey in Britain. Hauntingly beautiful, this magnificent ruin is situated on the Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Estate, which is now a designated World Heritage Site.

Bolton Abbey, Skipton
Bolton Abbey Estate, a 30,000-acre traditional country estate at the centre of which is Bolton Priory, a 12thC Augustinian priory in a parkland setting beside the River Wharfe. Near the priory is the picturesque village of Bolton Abbey with its estate gift shop and food shop, tearooms and tithe barn. The Strid Wood nature trails and moorland access areas lie just north of the village. :: 30 minutes

With its Minster, fascinating history and famous Jorvik Viking Centre. Reigning 'Racecourse of the Year', York is a favourite amongst racegoers. York Minster is the largest medieval gothic cathedral in northern Europe, and a treasure house of 800 years of stained glass. ::45 minutes
