We’re delighted to have partnered with walkingworld.com to provide some tried and tested walks in the area which we hope will help you discover some great views and local places of interest.

All of the walks are self-guided so that you can do them at a time and pace that suits you. Each walk comes in a unique format making it very easy to follow, with photographs to illustrate every important decision point and a map to help you.

Here are a few tips to help you enjoy your walk:

  • Check the weather, be prepared with a coat, hat, and sunscreen
  • Wear sensible shoes or walking boots, most of our walks are on well-worn paths, woodland or pastoral land, but there might be some muddy areas, gates or stiles to cross
  • Pack a bottle of water, not all walks have a café or pub en-route
  • Capture the beautiful countryside with your camera
  • Take your mobile phone just in case of emergency
Walkingworld.com offers over 6500 walks, each with an easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide and Ordnance Survey map. You can print them out on A4 paper, download a file for your GPS or follow them on a smartphone app. A modest annual subscription gives you unlimited access to the whole library of walks that you can enjoy on other holidays or in your local area.
