Showbuzz news WarnerTimes | 7 More news, more stories, latest updates If the shoe fits we’ve got the music to match it, with an amazing 75 festivals on the way in 2018. Choose from: WINKLE-PICKERS, BROGUES, PLATFORMS, PUMPS AND STILETTOS Our Motown & Soul festivals go all out to celebrate all that is great about the classic Detroit sound born in America in the 60s. On these breaks, you’ll get to enjoy five live performances – both original and tribute – and dance-fuelled evenings where hits made famous by the likes of Marvin Gaye, The Supremes and The Temptations come thick and fast. Late-night discos with specialist DJs take on the Motown & soul mantle once the acts have finished their encores. Beyond the Late Lounge, there’s also the chance to sit back and take a breather while soulful vocalists take up residence in our bars and cafés. MOTOWN AND SOUL FESTIVALS DANCING IN THE STREETS FESTIVALS FILL UP WITH TOP NAMES Think platforms and perms, glam rock and disco, ABBA and the Bee Gees. A 70s festival is all about great live music as tribute artists take to the stage in our Late Lounges to recreate the sounds that defined an era of musical genius. You’ll find a great line-up of bands and singers, ready to raise the roof with iconic numbers from Dancing Queen through to One Step Beyond and Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way. WE WILL ROCK YOU 70s FESTIVALS Think back if you will to the 80s, to those heady nights dancing until dusk to Wham and Blondie and to the sheer joy of making cassette mix tapes to play tunes from the likes of Whitney Houston and Lionel Ritchie. Ready to do it all over again and rekindle those memories? Our 80s festival weekends are just the job to transport you right back into the thick of the era of shoulder pads, big hair and neon-bright legwarmers. On every single break you’ll get to hear at least five live bands and tribute acts, plus a nightly DJ. We’re delighted to announce that T’Pau, Toyah and Katrina from Katrina & The Waves have recently joined the line-up, which also includes tributes to the likes of Boy George and The Jam. The great thing, too, is that you’ll be among fans who love the same type of music as you and who want a ticket for exactly the same party. 80s FESTIVALS SWEET DREAMS (ARE MADE OF THIS) With at least five live acts at each festival, we couldn’t fit them all in.
