Thoresby Hall is equipped for wheelchair users; there are ramps and lifts in both the main house and the annexe buildings. There are two disabled toilets; one is situated in the main house and the other in the annex. The wheelchair friendly rooms consist of;

• - wider door frames
• - Grab rails in the bathroom
• - Lower sinks
• - Taps that have levers
• - Alarm in the bathroom, you use this by pulling a lever, which will notify reception.
• - Bathroom doors which open outward.

Wheelchair access is available throughout the building. There are disables within the main building and there is a lift. No disabled changing rooms are available in the leisure suite. Ramps can be provided our wheelchair friendly rooms have had adjustments; they consist of;

Disabled rooms at Holme Lacy House have the following;

• - Hand rails in the bathroom
• - All fixtures and fittings are set lower to enable wheelchair users to see in the mirror etc.

These are the only rooms available for wheelchairs. Ramps can be provided. Wheelchair access is available through the building and there are lifts No disabled changing rooms are available in the leisure suite.

The only rooms that are suitable for wheelchairs are our disabled rooms. These rooms consist of;

• - Grab rails in the bathroom
• - Lower sink in toilet
• - Lower light switches
• - Lower beds
• - Rails to hang clothes on instead of wardrobes

There is a ramp at the main entrance. There are also ramps in the leisure suite, these can be also provided upon request. Disabled toilets are situated at the stables bar and the golf club house.

Through the provisions of lifts and ramps we endeavour to make the majority of facilities wheelchair accessible. Some areas particularly within the Lakes and Gardens, in its natural valley setting, have access constraints. The courtyard accommodation is attached to the main building; this is where all the disabled and wheelchair friendly rooms are situated. They have;

Bodelwyddan Castle, North Wales - 01745 585088

Bodelwyddan Castle is ok for wheelchair users, except for the rooms on the first floor in hens roost and Williams’s village, as some of these do have steps and there are no lifts.
