The entertainment programme this summer is our most ambitious yet. We’re connecting with the outdoors like never before with open-air live music stages and cinema beneath the stars. Indoors, exclusive screenings relive magical moments from the movies, music, theatre and sport – our own team shows too.

Following a Government announcement on 13 August, we’re now able to bring live entertainment back inside from 15 August at our English hotels. There’ll still be music and movies in the open until the end of August, and now complemented by live shows in our Late Lounges and cabaret restaurants for even greater choice on what to watch and where. See what we’re doing at Bodelwyddan Castle to comply with Welsh Government restrictions in the FAQs below.

Back indoors when the weather turns

During August, we're hosting the majority of our live performances on our outdoor stages. From 15 August, the UK Government is permitting the return of indoor live entertainment with social distancing, allowing us to move the live music performances into our cabaret rooms at all our hotels in England on days when the weather makes a turn for the worst. And from September, all entertainment will return indoors.

Classic watch-and-watch-again moments

We've filmed some of our all-time favourite visiting acts, classic Warner shows and resident bands, bringing you West End Musicals, legendary concerts and live performances from maestros of the music world. When the live performances are taking place outdoors, the screens in our cabaret rooms will broadcast recorded performances.

Live sport

Football, Cricket, Formula 1 and other live sports will be shown on the TVs (sometimes the big screens too) in the bars and lounges through all the hotels.

Movie time

Classic movies and blockbusters will take top billing in the hotels with private cinemas where smaller audiences will allow for the social distancing you need.

Frequently asked questions

Will all visiting artists/bands be able to perform?

Yes, we will deliver the full advertised line-up of visiting artists, resident bands and Warner team production shows at all our hotels in England. These will either be performed on our open-air live music stage, or if the weather turns bad, in our Cabaret rooms (from 15 August). Live performances are still not permitted at Bodelwyddan Castle because of Welsh Government restrictions.

Where will the outdoor stage be?

All stages will be set up in the hotel or holiday village gardens or grounds in a suitable location. Outdoor stages will operate at all our hotels in England until the end of August.

What about Bodelwyddan Castle in Wales?

Although the Welsh Government has given the go-ahead for hotels in Wales to reopen, the guidance states there can be no live performances, indoors or out, so our advertised visiting artists, resident band and team are not able to perform. Bodelwyddan Castle is now open with a host of exciting alternatives. This includes a large outdoor cinema screen in the grounds showing films and exclusive recorded performances from Collabro, Kerry Ellis and Darren Day. Inside, there are screens in the cabaret room and live sports in the bars and lounges with daily movies and team-hosted quizzes and gameshows.

Will there be any seating outdoors?

We have invested over £300,000 in additional outdoor chairs, picnic tables and deck chairs, plus a supply of blankets. However, you’re more than welcome to bring camping chairs or deck chairs to set up in the grounds.

What happens if it rains? Will the area be covered?

From 15 August, if the weather forecast looks a little grey, we may move the indoor live performance indoors to our Cabaret room. The schedule will vary by day, to be advertised in your Entertainment guide when you arrive.

Will I be able to get a drink if I’m watching the entertainment on the outdoor stage?

Yes of course, our team will be out serving drinks without you even having to leave your seat.

Will there be dancing?

Yes! We actively encourage dancing, but we need to do it safety in line with social distancing guidelines. In our Cabaret rooms, there’ll be opportunity to dance at your table, a bit like your own private dance floor. Outdoors, the lawns are your dance floor with as much space as you like.

What if there are local authority restrictions at individual hotels?

We are working with local authorities to bring entertainment outdoors during August. If for any reason this isn’t possible, there is still be plenty to do indoors, with live music in our cabaret rooms, live sport in bars and lounges, indoor cinemas and team-hosted quizzes and gameshows.

Will Warner resident bands and team shows still go ahead?

Yes, these to be performed live on the outdoor stage or inside in cabaret rooms at all of our hotels in England. There’s no news yet from the Welsh Government on when live shows can restart at Bodelwyddan Castle. In addition there’ll be special recordings of our resident bands and team shows.

What will be shown on the outdoor cinema screen?

The outdoor cinema screens only work at dusk. There’s a schedule of films, concerts, West End theatre and TV comedy in the entertainment guide and on the website. Outdoor cinemas will operate at all 14 hotels until the end of August. See what's on

Will the outdoor stage and outdoor cinema be on at the same time?

Outdoor stages and outdoor cinema will operate at our English hotels and there'll be an outdoor cinema at Bodelwyddan Castle. There may be some afternoon matinees instead of evening shows.

In some hotels, the outdoor stage and outdoor cinema screen may operate at the same time in different parts of the gardens. This will vary by hotel, and by night.

What about the noise levels outdoors?

Each hotel is different. Audio will either come from the stage speakers or Bluetooth headphones, depending on local authority restrictions on outdoor music and noise levels. If headphones are necessary, these will be provided by the hotel and fully sanitised between use.

As a result of these changes, if I decide to move/cancel my break – what are my options?

Our free Coronavirus Guarantee means every break in 2020 and 2021 is covered if you’re unable to travel or wish to reschedule. There’s no extra cost for doing this. See more here.

Will there be a reduction in my break price as a result of these changes?

We’ll be offering a full, often enhanced, programme of live music and shows with plenty of choice and things to do. The majority of visiting acts will still perform as advertised, along with team shows, resident bands, and new recorded content, quizzes and gameshows. There may be some afternoon matinees instead of evening shows. Because of this, there’ll be no reduction to the cost of a break.
